Hi! I’m Ellen
Thank you for checking out my portfolio! I hope you enjoy your time here.
I am a self-driven individual passionate about clear communication and a recent graduate of UMKC with a dual major in biology and communication studies (emphasis in journalism and mass communications). I am striving for a career writing and editing science content for the everyday person.
Outside of work, I enjoy nature. If it’s an outdoor activity, I’m in. My favorite pastimes are hiking, foraging, and kayaking. As an avid reader, my favorite genres are dystopian novels and nonfiction.
I am a lifelong learner and am currently trying to maintain a garden and keep my house stocked with baked goods.
